Mixed Reality South Africa exhibited at the annual Edutech Education Expo 2019. The Edutech expo is a one of a kind education and technology expo in South Africa with a focus on technology in education. The Edutech expo was held at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg South Africa.
Mixed Reality showcased various of its Virtual Reality solutions for Universities and Schools at the expo.
We took the opportunity to 3D scan the exhibition in a Virtual Tour to showcase some of our abilities and to show people what they missed if they didn’t attend this year’s Edutech expo. Virtual Tours are ideal to showcase places, spaces and in this case expos.
About Mixed Reality in Education
We develop custom virtual reality software solutions for schools and universities.We are in the process of establishing an innovation hub and virtual reality software development center in Klerksdorp South Africa. The purpose of the Innovation Hub and Virtual Reality Software development center is to develop people with an interest in Virtual Reality and 3D Modelling into world class Virtual Reality developers or Virtual Reality 3D Modelers. We believe that the future of education lies in Virtual Reality and that there is going to be a huge demand for virtual reality specialist soon. In order to prepare for the virtual reality skills shortage, we want to empower South Africans with these skills.
These students and entrepreneurs will specifically focus on developing Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality solutions for South African Universities and Schools.
Gerald Ferreira one of the founders and pioneers in the South African Virtual Reality space will be personally mentoring these students and entrepreneurs. Specifically on best practices when designing and developing for Virtual Reality and how to create a commercial viable virtual reality business.
He’s been in the Virtual Reality industry since 1998 and have an impressive list of commercial clients whom he developed virtual reality solutions for. These include Standard Bank, ABSA bank, Nedbank and FNB to name a few.
He is also personally investing more than R1 Million in establishing this world class Virtual Reality Innovation Hub.
