Music-led interaction
The soundtrack gives the action its pace, connecting each movement to the rhythm. The music provides an ongoing cue for when to move, so listening and watching are closely connected throughout the track.

Music & rhythm / Virtual reality events
Move to the music and slice through the incoming blocks. Beat Saber combines rhythm, coordination and colourful virtual worlds in an energetic experience for players and spectators.
01 / The experience
Beat Saber puts a virtual sabre in each hand and sends blocks towards you in time with the music. Follow the patterns and use your controllers to slice through them as the track builds.
The appeal is in the connection between what you hear and how you move. Rather than pressing a button to a beat, you perform the rhythm with your arms and body inside the game.
A track unfolds as a sequence of movements rather than a single action repeated over and over. You need to watch the incoming blocks, keep both hands involved and respond in time with the music. As a pattern becomes familiar, the experience starts to feel like performing a routine, with sound, movement and visual feedback working together.

02 / Experience highlights
The soundtrack gives the action its pace, connecting each movement to the rhythm. The music provides an ongoing cue for when to move, so listening and watching are closely connected throughout the track.
Use both controllers to respond to the blocks and develop a feel for the patterns. Coordinating the two sabres turns the incoming patterns into an active challenge involving timing and control.
The visible movements and reactions give spectators a way to share the moment. The virtual effects and music make the sequence clear on a display, helping others follow what the player is doing.
