We were recently commissioned to develop a Virtual Reality experience for the Atterbury group. The concept was to create a birds-eye view of the development and to let clients at the groundbreaking ceremony view the development as if it was already developed.
The actual size of the development is on 48 hectares of land and we were challenged to create it as a Oculus Quest experience. To make the immersive virtual reality experience more interesting the client wanted us to include a big wheel. The clients had to enter the big wheel, and then go to the top and get a bird’s eye view of the development.
Developing something like this was a very daunting task. We had to optimize the 3D Models to work with the Oculus Quest and had to use low polygons to create the experience.

We included some cars in the experience and a traffic system to show some movement in the experience and to give it a more realistic touch.
